Les soirées PechaKucha sont de véritables plateformes d’échanges et de rencontres interdisciplinaires organisées avant tout avec l’objectif d’offrir une tribune publique aux créateurs de tous horizons. Ils y présentent des projets réalisés, en cours de réalisation, voire des projets auxquels ils rêvent. Ils nous font part de leurs réflexions et de leurs processus de création. Le concept est simple : chaque participant présente 20 images qu’il commente pendant 20 secondes.

En collaboration avec le Centre Canadien d’Architecture [CCA], SAVON présentera différentes manières de nettoyer les villes. Des conférenciers s’exprimeront sur la notion de propreté et sur l’hygiène urbaine à Montréal, dans une ambiance informelle…
Le 11 Février prochain, PechaKucha Montréal et le CCA [Centre Canadien d'Architecture] organiseront une soirée de présentations autour des habitudes hygiéniques à Montréal.
Graffitis, saleté, poussière, feuilles, neige, gadoue, eau, mauvaises herbes, bars, clubs de strip-teases, corruption, usines, sex-shops, animaux errants, égouts, ordures, pollution, pauvreté, foule, bruit et odeurs ont tous été classés comme des problèmes de propreté. La définition donnée à cette question a varié selon les courants moraux ou politiques, les théories sur la ville et les découvertes médicales et technologiques. Mais dans tous les cas, le concept de propreté englobe tous ces termes.
Les présentations auront le format PechaKucha (20 diapositives projetées chacune durant 20 secondes), il y aura un entracte et un service de bar sera assuré pour toute la soirée. Les portes ouvriront à 18h, les présentations débuteront à 19h et la soirée se terminera à 21h.

PechaKucha nights are unique happenings providing a public forum for new ideas. Creative thinkers from every discipline present the approaches to and concepts behind projects that have been completed, are underway or that they are still dreaming about. The format is simple: each participant presents 20 images and comments on each one for 20 seconds.

In collaboration with the Canadian Center for Architecture [CCA], SAVON will present different ways to clean up cities. Guest speakers will speak on the concept of cleanliness and hygiene in urban Montreal, in an informal atmosphere …
In collaboration, PechaKucha Montréal and the CCA [Canadian Center for Architecture] will host presentations on February 11th, 2010 that explore Montreal’s hygiene habits.
Graffiti, dirt, dust, leaves, snow, slush, water, weeds, bars, strip joints, corruption, factories, sex shops, stray animals, sewage, garbage, pollution, poverty, crowds, noise and odour have all been seen as problems of cleanliness. The definitions of this problem have shifted with currents of politics and morality, theories of the city, and developments in technology and medicine. Yet the concept of cleanliness manages to contain them all.
The presentations will take the Pecha Kucha format (20 slides each 20 seconds), with an intermission and bar service throughout the night. Doors open at 6 and close at 9. Presentations will begin at 7.
